About Prenatal Massage

image

How will I lay for my massage if I can't lay on my stomach?

Your comfort and safety are our number one priority. Here at Summit Spa & Float, we have a special bolster designed for prenatal massage. This bolster allows you to lie face down in comfort without putting pressure on your body or your baby. There are spaces for your chest and belly to support proper positioning. If you prefer, your prenatal massage therapist can complete the full session using this setup.

We also use wedges and pillows to keep you supported during your treatment.

If the bolster does not feel right for you, our therapists are trained in a side-lying massage, which is another safe and comfortable option.

What are the benefits of Prenatal massage?

Prenatal massage can help with many common concerns during pregnancy. One of the main benefits of prenatal massage is relief from muscle aches and joint pain. It can also help reduce anxiety, swelling, and improve sleep quality. Regular sessions can support both physical comfort and overall well-being.

To help you better understand our services.

1. What is a prenatal massage? Is it safe during pregnancy?

Prenatal massage is made for pregnant women. It focuses on comfort and support. A trained prenatal massage therapist knows how to adjust pressure and position. It is safe for most people, but you should check with your OB before your visit.

2. What are the benefits of prenatal massage?

Prenatal massage can help ease muscle aches and joint pain. It can also help with swelling and sleep. Many people feel more relaxed after a session. It can also help lower tension in the body.

3. How will I be positioned during the massage?

You will not lie flat on your stomach unless special support is used. Most prenatal massage therapists use pillows, wedges, or a side-lying position. The goal is to keep you comfortable and support the whole time.

4. How long should my prenatal massage be?

A 60-minute session works well for a full-body massage. If you have more tension, you may want more time. A longer session gives the therapist time to focus on key areas.

5. Why should I choose a prenatal massage therapist?

prenatal massage therapist is trained to work with pregnant clients. They understand body changes during pregnancy. They use safe techniques and avoid pressure points that may cause issues.
