A non-surgical injectable treatment designed to reduce submental fullness (commonly known as a double chin). Kybella uses a synthetic form of deoxycholic acid to break down and permanently destroy fat cells beneath the chin. Once these cells are eliminated, they can no longer store or accumulate fat, resulting in a more defined and contoured jawline over time.

KYBELLA® (deoxycholic acid) injection is indicated for the improvement in the appearance of moderate to severe convexity or fullness associated with submental fat in adults. This kybella injection works by breaking down fat cells in the treated area.
Utah law requires our Medical Director to do an initial consultation to review your medical history prior to any injectables being administered. Once this consultation has been completed you may return anytime within the year to receive injections from one of our Nurse Injectors. The $50 fee for your consult will be applied towards your service if you choose to move forward with treatment. This fee is non refundable if you do not proceed with service.
When injected into fat under the chin, KYBELLA® causes the destruction of fat cells. Once destroyed, those cells cannot store or accumulate fat. After reaching your desired aesthetic, further kybella treatment is not expected.
Your specialist will create a tailored KYBELLA® treatment plan based on your chin profile. At each treatment, you will be given multiple small KYBELLA® injections under your chin. You may receive up to 6 treatment sessions, spaced at least 1 month apart. Many patients experience visible results in 2 to 4 KYBELLA® treatments. 59% of patients received 6 treatments in clinical studies.

During the appointment, your provider places a series of small kybella injection points under the chin. The session is fairly quick. You may feel some stinging or pressure for a short time, but most people find it manageable. Your provider will talk you through each step.
Everyone is different. Some people notice changes after a couple of sessions, while others need a few more. Your provider will create a kybella treatment plan based on how much fullness you have and what you want to achieve. Treatments are spaced out to allow your body time to respond.
Yes. Once the fat cells are broken down and cleared from the body, they don’t come back. After you reach your goal, most people don’t need additional treatment unless there are changes in weight over time.
Swelling is very common after Kybella®. It can feel firm or tender for a few days, and sometimes longer. This is part of how the treatment works.
