The beginning of 2023 seems to be the winter that keeps on giving. Spring is knocking at the door. Soon the weather will warm and the days will start to get longer. Here’s a spring skin regimen to keep that skin looking flawless…
STEP BY STEP – SPRING SKIN CARE
Cleanse
During the winter we tend to use heavier products, so it’s time to lighten things up a bit. Grab a gentle Low Foaming Cleanse from Environ, it washes of easily and leaves skin feeling refreshed and clean. Don’t forget to pre-cleanse if you are wearing make-up. My go to is the Skin EssentiA Dual Action Pre-Cleansing oil. If you aren’t wearing make-up you could opt for simplicity and just use the oil or the foaming cleanser alone. An oil will provide more of a hydrating cleanse. The cleanser will help get rid of dirt and oil without drying out the skin.
Mask
Wearing a face mask can offer several benefits for your skin, depending on the type of mask and its ingredients. Here are some of the common benefits:
- Hydration: Many face masks are designed to provide hydration to the skin. Ingredients like hyaluronic acid, aloe vera, and glycerin can help to attract and retain moisture in the skin, leaving it looking plump and hydrated.
- Exfoliation: Some masks contain exfoliating ingredients like alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs) or enzymes that help to remove dead skin cells and promote cell turnover. This can leave your skin looking brighter and smoother.
- Detoxification: Certain masks, such as charcoal or clay masks, are designed to draw out impurities and toxins from the skin. These masks can help to unclog pores and reduce the appearance of blackheads and breakouts.
- Anti-aging: Some masks contain ingredients like retinol, vitamin C, or peptides that can help to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, improve skin texture, and promote collagen production.
Overall, using a face mask regularly can help to improve the appearance and health of your skin, leaving it looking smoother, more hydrated, and radiant.

Moisturizer
Moisturizer is an essential part of a daily skincare routine as it offers numerous benefits for the skin. Moisturizers create a barrieron the skin’s surface that can help to protect it from external factors like pollution, harsh weather conditions, and UV radiation. This barrier can also help to lock in moisture, preventing it from evaporating from the skin.
Just like your cleanser, now might be a good time to adjust to a lightweight moisturizer. Hyaluronic acid is always a good option to be used alone or in combination with an oil or cream. This can help prevent dryness and flakiness, leaving your skin looking and feeling softer and smoother. Our dry environment combined with the weather changing from cold to warm can be harsh on your skin so alway make sure you have a moisturizer to keep your skin hydrated.
Antedotum is a new brand that has garnered a bit of attention lately. All their products are created to be used collectively, independently or interchangeably with an existing routine. Fall in love with their Hemp Complex, a powerfully concentrated CBD and CBG oil complex for dry skin and age related dehydration.
SPF
SPF is arguably the number one part of a daily skin regimen each person should be using daily. There are many choices when it comes to protecting your skin. Try a lightweight BB Cream or tinted SPF. Always look for an SPF that contains UVA/UVB and IR protection.
If you’re looking to save time and avoid a heavy foundation cream or powder try Elta MD UV Restore Tinted SPF 40. Voted Allure – Readers’ Choice Award Winner 2022 & Prevention – Healthy Skincare Awards 2022.
A tinted sunscreen can help even out complexion and can streamline your daily skin care routine.
